GRAFFITI BLACKBOOKS – Round 2 with SMASH137
1996–2026. Thirty years, one name. SMASH137: one of the most influential and respected writers in contemporary stylewriting.
The second volume of the GRAFFITI BLACKBOOKS series traces the evolution of SMASH137’s work over three decades. Told chronologically across eight chapters, it documents a continuous process of experimentation, repetition, and refinement, from the earliest surviving sketches to the present day.
Through personal reflections, Adrian Falkner looks back on his artistic development, the circumstances surrounding his work, and the ideas that shaped it. The book also features photographs by Rüdiger Glatz, a close friend since the 1990s who has documented Falkner’s journey over the years.
For those who followed Smashtrash.net, it's a return to the same direct insight into his sketching practice, this time spanning thirty years, with the stories behind the work.
Release is scheduled for December 2026.
